The .338 Lapua Magnum with the 16.4 g (253 gr) API526 Armor Piercing Incendiary projectile

.338 Lapua Magnum fills the gap between 7.62mm and .50 caliber sniper systems. The .338 Lapua Magnum sniper systems are currently employed by several armed forces throughout the world. The trajectories of Lapua bullets are tailored to match, so there is no need to change sight setup when changing the cartridge type. Some cartridges are hermetic, optional for all products. All .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges are packed in M2A1 steel cases.
