Tapio Säynevirta passed away suddenly on September 5, 2012, at the age of 47. He was born on March 1, 1965 in Leppävirta, Finland.
Tapio was a long time Lapua Team member, and is one of the handful of shooters who have scored the perfect 600/600 result in 300 m rifle prone. He has World Championship gold medal, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in 300m Rifle competitions.
