Case construction
Base

The base section is hard and strong, and the dimensions remain constant and will hold primers tight in primer pocket even after repeated reloading.

Body

The brass body section is hard and firm. It is easy to extract after firing, whether full sizing or only neck sizing was used in reloading.

Neck

Strict tolerances in concentrity and wall thickness are used in manufacturing. The neck and shoulder are annealed to withstand repeated reloading.

.220 Russian

Most popular case for benchrest shooting. More than 90 % of all the benchrest shooters in the world use Lapua’s .220 Russian cases as a parent case for 6mm PPC. Lapua´s .220 Russian cases are manufactured to strict dimensional standards using raw materials of the highest quality to ensure that they can be reloaded scores of times – up to 200 times not being unusual.

.222 Rem.

Lapua offers new improved design case for friends of this accurate caliber. The .222 case is a true match case produced with extremely tight tolerances in neck concentricity and wall thickness like its big brother .223 Rem. Lapua Match case. The true Lapua match quality is now available also for the small game hunters.

.223 Rem.

The match case is produced with very tight tolerances including neck concentrity, base straightness and wall thickness. Consistent quality guarantees consistent results. The large case volume ensures high velocity potential. Strong case construction, optimized strength and grain structure material allow multiple reloading cycles.

.221 Remington Fireball

Introduced by Remington in 1963 in the new XP-100 bolt action pistol, this groundbreaking cartridge set new standards for handgun performance. The Fireball has recently seen a dramatic surge in popularity, due in large part to the efforts of wildcatters working with this versatile case. The 17 Fireball was one of the early offspring, but the diminutive case would eventually be necked down even further, and upwards to the 30 caliber. With such popular numbers as the 20 VarTarg and the 300 Black Out, the .221 Fireball case is more popular today than ever. 6 mm BR Norma

6.5 Grendel

The 6.5 Grendel is tailored to fit the AR-15 action and it outperforms the .223 Rem. and other cartridges used in the AR-15. The caliber is continuously growing its popularity in the disciplines which demand light recoil and tack-driving accuracy.

6.5 x 47 Lapua

The 6.5x47 Lapua case has base diameter and loading length similar to the .308 Win., allowing it to accept the same bolt heads and fit into similar actions and magazines. Lapua’s 6.5x47 case is also the parent case of several popular wildcats, and is frequently necked down to 6mm. 6.5 - 284

7 mm - 08 Remington

Lapua is proud to announce the newest addition to our line of premium cases; the 7mm-08 Remington. The 7mm-08 came to dominate the High Power Silhouette rifle game shortly after its introduction, offering a superb combination of power, light recoil and accuracy. Since then, it has also been used to win National Championships in High Power competition, and become a staple for hunters as well. With ballistic performance exceeding that of the time honored 7x57mm Mauser, but suited to a shorter action, the 7mm-08 is an ideal cartridge for most big game hunting. .300 AAC Blackout

Few cartridges have generated as much immediate interest as the 300 Blackout. Standardized by AAC, this diminutive cartridge is derived from the 223 Remington. Intended specifically for use in suppressed firearms, the versatility of the Blackout has appealed to a much broader range of shooters than just the audience for which it was originally designed. Intended to drive 220 grain bullets at subsonic velocities, the switch to lightweight bullets such as the 125 grain offerings delivers performance very similar to the venerable 7.62x39 cartridge.
